About us

TelcoNetwork builds configuration management software for fixed and mobile network operators. We are based in Amsterdam and work with operators across Europe and Asia Pacific.

The company was started by engineers from operator network operations and OSS integration. The problem we kept running into was the same in every organisation: nobody could say with confidence how a given element was configured, or how far it had drifted from the nodes that were supposed to match it. Backups existed. Ticket histories existed. Neither told you whether the estate was consistent.

Plumbline is the tool we wanted at the time and could not buy. The first version was a set of parsers and a comparison engine built for one customer's core network. The product it grew into is still shaped by that starting point, which is why collection is read-only by default and why the standard build is derived from the live estate rather than from a document nobody has updated in five years.

How we work

  • Read-only first. Every engagement starts without write access to production. Change automation comes later, once the model has proven itself.
  • Small teams. Two engineers on an evaluation, and the same two on the rollout. No handover to a separate delivery organisation.
  • The model belongs to the customer. Standard builds and parameter classes are yours. We supply the engine and the starting templates.
  • No data lock-in. Standard builds live in your Git. If you stop being a customer you keep all of it.

Team

Between them the founding team has carried a pager for a Tier 1 core network, integrated OSS stacks across four operator groups, and delivered automation programmes in eleven markets.

Daniel Ruiter

Chief Executive Officer

Fifteen years in operator network operations, latterly responsible for core network change management at a converged Tier 1 operator.

Katrin Mahler

Chief Technology Officer

Background in OSS integration and multi-vendor configuration modelling, including YANG tooling and parser development for legacy element types.

Owen Brady

VP Customer Engineering

Delivery lead on network automation programmes for operator groups across Europe and Asia Pacific, previously at a network equipment vendor.

Careers

We hire people who have operated networks, not only written software for them. Current openings are based in Amsterdam or remote within European time zones.

  • Senior Customer Engineer, multi-vendor core
  • Platform Engineer, collection and parsing
  • Solutions Architect, OSS integration
